Gluten-Free Options in the East Valley

The Gluten Free Country Store, in Gilbert, offers an extensive selection of food items, including local products such as ZorroZ Bloody Mary Mix, Danielle’s Signature Blends, Julia's Gluten Free Bakery, Tom Sawyer Flours, Fresh from Rowie’s Bakery, Gluten Free Creations Bakery, Spinato’s Restaurant to Go and Pepper Bandits Gourmet Salsas of Arizona.

Owners Gary Baker and James Combs, MS-PAC, plan to add more gluten-free products that are not available at any other local establishment. With their commitment to education, they are in the process of offering additional classes and workshops for customers.

The Gluten Free Country Store attributes its success to providing customers with information about eating gluten-free. Baker states, “Many customers walk through the door having just been told by their physician that they have a food allergy and/or have to eat gluten-free. They naturally have lots of questions, and we strive to provide meaningful answers.”

Baker also serves as the vice president of the Celiac Disease Foundation Arizona East Valley Chapter (EastArizonaCeliac.blogspot.com) to bring about more awareness of this disease.
