Wolfson Opens New Cardiac Office in Paradise Valley
Dr. Jack M. Wolfson DO, FACC, formerly with Cardiovascular Consultants, has started a new holistic cardiology practice, Wolfson Integrative Cardiology, at 10585 N. Tatum Boulevard, Suite D-135, in Paradise Valley. In 2011, he was named one of Phoenix magazine's Top Docs, and in 2012 named Top Holistic M.D. by Natural Awakenings.
Wolfson served as the chairman of the department of medicine and director of cardiac rehabilitation at Paradise Valley Hospital, but states he realized that medical doctors were not preventing disease, only attempting to treat symptoms. This led to the opening of his integrative cardiology practice.
As he explains his philosophy of healing: “There are three main causes of disease, and genetics is not one of them. Our ancestors from 50,000 years ago had the same genes, but did not have the diseases of today. Poor nutrition, chemicals and stress are the root of all health issues, and my focus is centered upon addressing and correcting these factors.”
The practice uses electrocardiography (ECG), stress testing, echocardiography and other modalities to assess symptoms and risk. State-of-the-art hematologic testing to identify risk factors is also used. Wolfson Integrative Cardiology carries a full spectrum of nutritional products and supplements, along with household items to decrease individual chemical exposure.
