Naturopathic Discovery Day in Tempe
Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine (SCNM) Community Discovery Day will be held November 3, on the SCNM campus. Highlights include morning yoga, chair massages, acupuncture, blood pressure checks and superfood tasting.
Dr. Nick Buratovich, a naturopathic doctor for 30 years, will explain how physical medicine techniques such as trigger point treatment, joint manipulation and mesotherapy can permanently alleviate different types of pain and inflammation
Dr. Anesia Groves will discuss how focusing efforts on emotional, mental, social, spiritual and behavioral factors can boost energy and improve sleep. Dr. Mary K. Geyer will examine how naturopathic doctors diagnose thyroid problems and treat their causes naturally.
The school hosts Community Discovery Day to educate the public about the healing power of nature and the benefits of naturopathic medicine. Registration is free and includes breakfast, lunch, a tour of the SCNM medical center and a Q&A session with naturopathic doctors.
