Pickleball Has Arrived
The quickly growing sport of pickleball is gaining popularity by bringing generations, families and athletes together. Courts can be found in Fountain Hills, Surprise, Buckeye, Scottsdale, Mesa, Tucson and in the White Mountains. The game is addictive, and the public will soon have the opportunity to experience it firsthand.
The International Pickleball Association (IPA), along with My Retirement Direct, will host a Pickleball Exhibition from 1 to 6 p.m., November 17, at the La Camarilla Racquet, Swim and Fitness Club, in Scottsdale. Anyone that wants to play the game will have the opportunity to give it a try.
Arizona has become a major hub for the game as players from around the world visit the state to play tournaments that include the USAPA Nationals, in Buckeye. Both the IPA and USAPA are based in Arizona and promote the game with education, awareness and sponsorship.
