India Plaza 10th Anniversary Celebration
India Plaza will celebrate 10 years serving the Valley of the Sun with India Plaza Night, from 4 to 10 p.m., April 14, in conjunction with the New Year’s festival of Baisakhi, celebrated in the Punjab area of northern India. India Plaza Night will include traditional Indian dancing, music and food, as well as appearances by community leaders.
After serving more than a million customers and winning many awards for community service since 2003, “India Plaza has never been just a business,” says Raveen Arora, a Gilbert resident who developed the campus with wife, Clara, from an existing center. “From the day we opened, we have wanted it to be a multicultural meeting place and a window to India for Arizonans—a center for education, compassion, the celebration of diversity and community involvement.”
India Plaza is the Valley’s one-stop destination for Indian food, culture and products, with a gift boutique and beauty salon that offers the ancient arts of threading and henna application and yoga classes.
