Start a New Career as a Yoga Teacher
The Southwest Institute of Healing Arts (SWIHA), in Tempe, is accepting students for a 200-hour yoga teacher training curriculum beginning September 10, with a fast-track program starting October 7. The training draws elements from a variety of long-established yoga traditions.
Program director Stuart Rice, an experienced master yoga teacher and developer of Bhakti Warrior Yoga, blends his life experiences, knowledge of yoga philosophy and love of the physical, energetic and breathing practice of yoga into his classes.
The concept of Unity Yoga strives to teach an authentic expression of yoga with a transformational approach, honoring a diversity of practices and belief systems. Their program rests on the principle that yoga is a unifying tool for creating health, well-being and a deep spiritual connection.
A component of SWIHA, Spirit of Yoga is world-class yoga studio and teacher training center that provides drop-in yoga classes to the community, special events and related educational opportunities to the public.
