Geri-Fit National Instructor Certification
Those interested in a career in the senior health and fitness industry working with older adults will be interested in attending the Geri-Fit national instructor certification instruction to be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., August 21, in Phoenix.
Geri-Fit is the fastest-growing older adults evidence-based group strength training exercise program. Participants work out with dumbbell weights ranging in size from two to seven pounds. Most of the bodybuilding exercises are performed seated in chairs, and there’s no dancing, choreography or floor work.
Graduates will be qualified to teach group classes at senior living communities, senior centers, yoga studios and any place fitness is offered, or provide personal fitness training services in clients’ homes.
Certified trainers, group exercise instructors, yoga instructors, health coaches and those that just wants to learn how to safely work out with weights will benefit from the Geri-Fit instructor training program.
